Kick off your summer by coming to the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) and serving the community. This is the first Engage RGV set up just for the university crowd. This will be a week of working on houses that were damaged by hurricane Dolly in July 2008 during the day and a time of Worship in the evening. Serving others without looking for something in return is not the normal fleshly human response to a situation, yet that is just what Christ did for us and He died in his service for us. Engage RGV seeks to provide Christian students and adults with the opportunities to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others. This is a servanthood and personal commitment experience for every participant to be a part of a practical way to witness to people that they have never met. God gives us a clear command to witness, however it seems the opportunity to share Jesus just never comes up. Through Engage RGV you get to witness to people in a very non-confrontational way that reaches people where they are hurting the most.

You will stay at VBMEC where your breakfast and dinner will be provided. Lunch will be provided at the work site. O ur goal is to promote a lifestyle of missions awareness and involvement to every participant involved. This is for the students, leaders, and the church members that are support ing this group. It takes the whole church to function for Jesus.

Engage RGV is a ministry of Valley Baptist Missions/Education Center (VBMEC) and Faith Communities. Hurricane Dolly damaged 100s of homes and the funding is in place to repair these, but we need you and your teams to come and participate in Gods work.
